Unground Ball
Bearings.
This
bearing is used in a wide range of applications, such
as: by grain auger and farm equipment manufacturers in
wheels, conveyers, lawn mowers, idler pulleys, etc. It
has been used, very successfully at speeds up to and
exceeding 2500 RPM in such uses as V belt tightener
pulleys. They are made primarily for straight radial
service, however, due to deep ball grooves they are
being used for thrust loads as well. This bearing is
constructed with more accuracy, heavier heat treatment
and held to closer tolerances than the average unground
ball bearing. The ball race ways are machine formed to
a smooth finish, the outer races stamped and coined from
cold rolled steel. These are then heat treated to a
uniform hardness for long wearing ability. They contain
a full compliment of balls and are furnished either
shielded and grease packed or shielded and grease packed
with neoprene seals.
